Who is the course for ?
The Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety is primarily intended for those working in a management role in a food environment, and meets the requirements for training recommended in the Industry guides to good practice for those with management responsvbilities. Learners will be already working in a food related role have significant expereince of food handling and operational management. The course was formally known as the Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate
Job Roles may include, Head Chefs, Production Managers, Owner/Mangers of medium/large scale food operations,
The course is suitable for those looking to train others to Level 2 & 3, (suitable training qualifications required)
What will I learn ?
Learners gaining this qualification will have and indepth knowledge of food safety, good hygiene practices, legislation. They will have a thorough knowledge of food safety hazards, control measures and corrective actions required to maintain food safety. The course will focus on the importance of developing and impementing food safety management systems and monitoring food safety
Topics include Food Storage, Preparation and Cooking, Food Service, Cleaning and Disinfection, Food Poisoning and Foodbourne Illness, Spoliage and Preservation, Personal Hygiene, Training, Pest Control, Legislation, and Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP)

The nationally accredited course is externally marked and certificated by one of the following Awarding Organisations
