Level 3 Health & Safety

Who is the course for ?

The Level 3 Award in Supervising Health & Safety in the workplace is primarily intended for those working in a supervisory role in a food environment,   Learners may probably be already working in a role where they dealt with Health and Safety issues.  Holders of this qualification will assist the business in demonstrating the legal requirement to engage 'competent persons' The course was formally known as the Intermediate Health & Safety Certificate

This course is suitable for those looking to train other to Level 2 (suitable training qualification required)

What will I learn ?

Learners gaining this qualification will be  able to domonstrate knowledge of health and safety legislation  as well as understanding the legal and moral obligation a business has to ensure the health and safety of employees, contractors, suppliers, visitors and members of the public

Topics include Principal of Health and Safety Legislation, Organising workplace health and safety, Monitoring performance, Supervision, workplace accidents and hazards, Risk Assessment

How will I be assessed ?

The course is assessed by a 2 Hour, 60 question multi choice question paper.

The nationally accredited course is externally marked and certificated by one of the following Awarding Organisations

Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC)

How long will the course last ?

The course is delivered over 18 hours plus examination time (3 day)

The course is delivered directly on employers premises at times to suit the business, Small groups are welcome
