Level 2 Licensing Course
Who is the course for ?
Under the Licensing Act 2003 any sales of alcohol made on licensed premises must be made by or authorised by a Personal Licence Holder. One of the requirements for applying for a Personal License is that the applicant must hold an accredited qualification. The HABC Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders meets this requirement
The course is suitable for anyone in either working in or looking to enter the licensed trade
Public Houses, Restaurants, Off Licence, Nightclubs, Casinos, Bars, Supermarkets, Florists (Selling Alcohol)

What will I learn ?
Persons gaining this qualification will be aware of the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 and the duties of a personal licence holder in relation to the law
Topics include Licensing Law, Personal Licences, Premises Licences, the protection of children, powers and enforcement, temporary events and responsibilities in alcohol retailing
How will I be assessed ?
The course is assessed by a 1 Hour, 40 question multi choice question paper. You must achieve a minimum of 28 out of 40 to pass.
Please note there are NO compulsory questions in the exam
The nationally accredited course is externally marked and certificated by the following Awarding Organisations
Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC)
How long will the course last ?
The course is delivered over 6 hours plus examination time (1 day)
