Teaching qualifications are ideal for new entrants to the teaching industry, for those currently teaching, or those who wish to teach their subject specialism to others. Trainers involved in providing funded Work Based Learning (WBL) may also be required to obtain a teaching qualification in order to satisfy the funding requirements.

Most awarding organisations require the trainer to hold a qualification above the one they wish to deliver and a training qualification Eg Level 3 Food Safety + Level 3 PTLLS to deliver Level 2 Food Safety
